Boman Irani to join son in 'Student of The Year'? (Movie Snippets)

Mumbai, April 18 (IANS) Actor Boman Irani has been asked to do a cameo in Karan Johar's "Student of The Year". He will most likely share screen space with his son Kayoze, who is making his acting debut with the film.

 

"In Bangkok for a special appearance in SOTY ('Student of The Year'). Might just share screen space with my son Kayoze for the first time. Hope the blighter is nervous," Boman tweeted.

 

"Student of The Year" is Johar's next directorial project after his 2010 film "My Name Is Khan".

 

The film, being co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan, will also be a launch pad for three other newbies -- former model Siddharth Malhotra, David Dhawan's son Varun and Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Aalia.

Now singers come together for social cause

 

Singers like Suresh Wadekar, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Amit Kumar are set to perform together to raise funds for the education of visually challenged kids.

 

They will take to the stage for Shri Kulswamini Mata Charitable Trust, an organisation that has been working in the field of education for blind children.

 

The singers will perform some of the evergreen songs composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal like "Sawan ka mahina", "Bindiya chamakegi", "Dafaliwale", and "Chithi aayi hai".

 

Also, veteran composer Pyarelal Sharma of the musical duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal will be felicitated by veteran actress Rekha during the gala evening scheduled for April 27 here.

Neil wants to be as romantic as father

 

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has followed in his father's footsteps as far as singing is concerned, but he also wants to follow his dad's romantic ways.

 

Neil is the son of Nitin and Nishi Mukesh.

 

"I have yet to come across a man as romantic as my dad. I love the way he pampers my mom even today like they are newly wed. I follow his footsteps," he tweeted.
