Two kids killed in Afghan bombing

Kabul, April 12 (IANS) Two children were killed and six other people injured Thursday in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan, an official said.

 

The blast took place in Safar town of Garmsir district in the southern province of Helmand, provincial government spokesman Daud Ahmadi told Xinhua.

 

He blamed the Taliban for the attack.

 

A total of 3,021 Afghan civilians died in Taliban attacks in 2011, up eight percent compared to 2010, according to the UN.
