Shanghai mulls welfare for elderly

Shanghai, April 12 (IANS) The Shanghai government will focus on improving the welfare of elderly and disabled people over the next five years, an official said Wednesday.

 

The municipal government will make sure every district has at least one state-run nursing institution for the aged with mental or physical disabilities, Xinhua quoted Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Jiang Ping as saying at a conference.
