Two labourers buried under mine debris

Jaipur, April 11 (IANS) Two labourers were buried under the debris after an explosion in an illegal gravel mine in Rajasthan's Alwar district, police said Wednesday.

 

The two labourers were buried Tuesday night in the illegal mine near Tapukara village in the district, some 200 km from Jaipur.

 

One of the worker was from Haryana and the other was from Alwar. The rescue operation continued till Wednesday evening.

 

"They are feared dead. Several labourers were working in the mine when explosives were used for breaking the stones. These two labourers got trapped," said a police officer.

 

"A first information report has been registered against those involved in illegal mining," said the police officer.
