Seal seeks changes in custody arrangement after Klum files divorce papers
London, Apr 11 (ANI): Seal has responded to his estranged wife Heidi Klum's filing of divorce papers by submitting to court his own papers demanding joint physical custody of their children.
The 38-year-old supermodel, who legally filed for divorce from hubby Seal last week, asked for joint legal custody of their four kids, but she wanted primary physical custody, the Daily Mail reported.
Seal, 49, has now reportedly requested joint physical custody, which would mean the children would divide their living time between the two parents.
The couple have four children, Leni, seven, Henry, six, Johan, five, and two-year-old Lou, together.
Sources say that despite the differences in their papers, this is merely a technicality and there is no custody fight expected.
Klum cites "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce petition, filed in LA County Superior Court, TMZ.com revealed.
According to the documents filed by the supermodel's lawyer, Laura Wasser, the couple signed a post-nuptial agreement - meaning they made an agreement after they got married to keep their assets completely separate, so there is no community property to be divided.
However, Seal does not mention the post-nuptial agreement in his papers and claims there are "community and quasi-community assets."
Klum, who is the wealthier of the pair, is asking the judge to reject any claim for spousal support from Seal, and not making such demands herself.
Seal responded by also asking the judge to reject any claims by Klum for spousal support. (ANI)
