300 Chinese kids ill after having school lunch

Beijing, April 10 (IANS) More than 300 children fell ill after eating lunch at a school in southwest China's Yunnan province, authorities said Tuesday.
As many as 337 children of Zhenxiong county's Dingla Primary School were admitted to hospital Monday, with dozens vomiting and suffering from diarrhoea and fever, reported Xinhua.
By Tuesday morning, 247 were discharged from the hospital.
Authorities have ordered the school to suspend serving lunch, and an investigation into suspected food poisoning is underway.
Last month, about 70 children showed symptoms of food poisoning after having breakfast at a school in southwest China's Guizhou province.
