Kathmandu, Apr 5 (ANI): Chief of Army Staff of India, General V.K. Singh met Nepal Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai here today.
General V. K. Singh is participating in the Regional Seminar on Natural Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance.
The meeting is learnt to have dwelt on Nepal's peace process and security related issues of Nepal and India.
According to Nepalnews, during the meeting with General V. K. Singh , Bhattarai hailed the Indian Army's democratic tradition of giving importance to the civilian leadership. .
Bhattarai also said the Nepal Army has been playing a constructive role in the integration of Maoist combatants.
During the meeting, General Singh said that Indian Army's support to Nepal would continue in the days to come.
Earlier, General Singh held bilateral talks with his Nepalese counterpart General Chatraman Singh Gurung at Army Headquarters.
General V. K. Singh is scheduled to return to Delhi on Friday. (ANI)
