Dannii Minogue, Kris Smith split

London, April 4 (IANS) Singer Dannii Minogue and rugby player Kris Smith have parted ways after being together for four years.

Dailymail.co.uk quoted Dannii as tweeting: "It brings me great sadness to tell you that Kris and I have separated." She has a one-year-old son Ethan with Smith.

"We still care for each other and ask for privacy at this difficult time, in particular for our son Ethan who remains our number one priority," she added.

Smith tweeted: "Dannii and I have a deep mutual love and respect for each other and although things have not worked out we have a gorgeous son together that we both love and implore everyone to respect our privacy at this challenging time."

The couple were dating since 2008 after meeting in a nightclub in Ibiza.
