Tibetans to protest Chinese president's India visit for BRIC summit

New Delhi, Mon, 26 Mar 2012 ANI

New Delhi, Mar.26 (ANI): Tibetans living in exile in various parts of India are likely to visit New Delhi during this week's BRIC Summit to protest the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Jintao will be arriving in India on Wednesday to attend the two-day BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit.

Media reports said that the protest march would begin at the Ramlila Maidan and will end at Jantar Mantar.

The Tibetans said that their protest would highlight China's human rights violations in Tibet.

In anticipation of the protest, security at key installations in the national capital has been tightened. (ANI)
