Pak will grant MFN status to India by December 2012: Khar

Islamabad, Thu, 22 Mar 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Mar 22(ANI): Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has said that the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status would be granted to India by December 2012 and expressed the hope that trade relations normalize with India.

"We steadfastly followed the course of action approved by the cabinet," The Daily Times quoted Khar, as saying.

On being asked if cricket diplomacy and the Foreign Office (FO) was playing any role in reviving cricketing ties between both sides, Khar replied that the FO was interfering in this matter because the Pakistan Cricket Board said they were not getting an appropriate response.

She reiterated that Pakistan will not tolerate any pressure regarding the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project and that Pakistan parliament would have the final say on re-opening of NATO supply route. (ANI)
