Mumbai, Mar 16 (ANI): The Pakistani judicial commission will be recording the statements of the four key witnesses in connection with the 26/11 terror attacks case from today.

The eight-member judicial panel, which is in Mumbai, is expected to record the statements of two witnesses including chief metropolitan magistrate R V Sawant Waghule and Chief Investigating officer Ramesh Mahale.

The statements of the other two witnesses including Dr Shailesh Mohit of Nair hospital and Dr Ganesh Nitukar, medical officer of the forensic science department at JJ hospital, are likely to be recorded tomorrow. These two doctors carried out the autopsy of the nine killed terrorists in the 2008 attack.

The statements of the witnesses will be used as evidence before an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan, which is conducting trial against Lashkar-e-Toiba's Commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and six other suspects in the case.

On November 26, 2008, Ajmal Amir Kasab and nine other heavily-armed gunmen, who arrived here by sea, attacked various places, including the Taj Mahal Hotel, Nariman House, Oberoi Hotel and Mumbai CST railway station, killing 166 people and injuring several others.

Kasab, who was caught alive and sentenced to death by a trial court, is currently lodged in the high security Arthur Road Jail here. (ANI)
