Islamabad , Fri, 24 Feb 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Feb 24 (ANI): The Pakistan Supreme Court has directed the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Militarily Intelligence (MI) to submit a detailed report on the security situation of Balochistan on March 7.

A three-member bench headed by Justice Shakirullah Jan was hearing two cases - a petition filed by Balochistan High Court Bar Association (BHCBA) against the incidents of target killing, kidnapping for ransom and the overall poor law and order situation in the province, and suo motu notice on the killings of MPA Balochistan Bakhtiar Domki's wife and daughter, The Express Tribune reports.

In the last hearing, the court had ordered the ISI and MI to submit the report, and today, Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq informed the court that he had conveyed the court's message to ISI and MI and that the agencies had requested for more time for filing of the report.

The attorney general informed the court that the ISI and MI had requested for an in-camera briefing in the court's chambers due to the sensitivity of the case.

Rejecting a report submitted before the court by the additional advocate general of Sindh, Justice Tariq Pervez observed that the findings in the Domki's family murder probe were equivalent to "zero". (ANI)
