'Mastermind' of suicide attack on Faisalabad ISI office arrested

Islamabad, Feb 18 (ANI): The alleged mastermind of a suicide attack on the Inter Services Intelligence's (ISI) Faisalabad office on March 8, 2011, has reportedly been arrested.

The Express Tribune quoted Faisalabad police as saying that a special police team headed by DSP Gulberg Ashiq Jatt has arrested Abdur Rehman alias Kaka from Jameel Town.

The accused was presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), where Judge Ishtiaq Ahmad sent him to six days of physical remand for interrogation.

Rehman was arrested on the basis of the information given by another accused, Qari Usman during interrogation, who had been arrested in an injured condition from the site of the blast.

At least 34 people were killed in the suicide attack, while another 90, including an ISI official, were injured. (ANI)
