Israel embassy car blast: Doctors discharge injured woman diplomat

New Delhi , Fri, 17 Feb 2012 ANI

New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): Tal Yehoshua, the wife of an Israeli diplomat, who was injured in Monday's car blast that took place near the high-security Aurangzeb Road Crossing, was discharged from a city hospital today.

Ashok Bhanot, the doctor monitoring Yehoshua, said she is showing signs of recovery.

"She has improved from her surgery and she is recovering from the surgical site and from the wounds which she had sustained by the explosion. She is showing good signs of recovery, gradually," he said.

Bhanot further said that a team of air ambulance doctors were expected to arrive soon in India, who would fly Yehoshua back to Israel.

"If she wants, she can travel, but it also depends on the team of the doctors from the transportation team, whether they feel confident enough to travel with her," he added.

Yehoshua, who was brought to the hospital bleeding profusely on Monday evening, was among the four people injured in the car blast.

Delhi Police Commissioner B. K. Gupta had earlier on Thursday said that investigations in the case regarding the attack on the wife of an Israeli diplomat have gathered pace, though it is still in the initial phase. (ANI)
