Allahabad, Feb 8 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said his party will take strict actions against the three ministers caught watching pornographic video clips on their mobile phone during an assembly session in Karnataka.

In a bid to save the reputation of the party, the BJP high command had asked the three tainted ministers to step down from their posts as soon as the controversy surfaced.

"Party will take action against everyone who indulges in wrongdoings. Today, we have accepted the resignations of those three ministers and an inquiry is appointed against them. They have submitted their resignations to the chief minister," Gadkari told mediapersons here.

Gadkari further said the BJP would not tolerate such acts, as ministers have failed to uphold the sanctity of the assembly.

"We have accepted their resignations because allegations were floating against them and till the time they do not come clear or unless the inquiry gets over, they should not remain on their posts," he added.

The three ministers, who submitted their resignations to Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda in the wake of the ongoing controversy earlier in the day are Minister for Cooperation Laxman Savadi, Minister for Women and Child Development C C Patil and Minister for Ports Krishna Palemar.
