Haldwani, Jan 26 (ANI): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Thursday came down heavily on the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre on various charges of corruption, and said that the latter consider it as their birthright to plunder the country.

Ramdev blamed the Congress Party for looting the country for generations.

"The government does not want to give justice to the country, and they consider it their birth right to rule this country. They say that earlier our forefathers plundered the country and now it is their birthright to plunder and loot the country. They consider the country to be their legacy," he told the media here.

Ramdev, who is spearheading a campaign against black money, further said it is sad to see the allegedly corrupt leaders hoisting the Indian flag on the occasion of Republic Day.

"It pains to see the political condition of the state. It is painful to see that hands that are smeared with sins and those who have murdered mother India and those who have looted billions of rupees of the country and stashed them in foreign banks, the same hands hoist the Indian tricolour flag. It is disrespect to the flag and the nation," he said.

Ramdev is currently touring in poll-bound Uttarakhand, where he is urging the locals to vote for an honest party.

Political mercury is at a high in poll-bound Uttarakhand, where the main wrestle is between the current incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party.

Four other states Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Manipur also goes for polls.

The results of the polls would be declared on March 6. (ANI)
