Police nab Maoists with explosives in Jharkhand

Bokaro, Jan 18 (ANI): Police officials arrested two Maoists and seized explosives on Tuesday in Bokaro city of Jharkhand.

 

The operation was launched by the police in collaboration with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

 

The forces kept a close eye on the Maoist activities for days in several districts and nabbed two hardcore Maoists, Janaki Mahato and Moti Mahato from villages situated near the Jhumra foothills with cane bombs, a double-barrel gun, wires, gunpowder, ammonium nitrate and other ammunitions.

 

The police also retrieved several documents from various Maoist hideouts.

 

"After the operation, two hardcore Maoist were arrested and after interrogating them, we searched the area and recovered arms and ammunitions as well as their uniforms," said P Epi Pao, Deputy Commandant, CRPF. (ANI)
