Beijing, Jan 15 (ANI): Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo has left Beijing for India for the two-day boundary talks in New Delhi beginning Monday.
The boundary talks were postponed in November due to Chinese objections to Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama's participation in a global Buddhist conclave in New Delhi.
According to Xinhua, special representatives from China and India will meet to discuss border issues from January 15 to 17.
Both the nations share a 2,000-km border, which has never been formally delimited. The two began to discuss border issues in the 1980s.
Two agreements were signed in 1993 and 1996, respectively, to maintain peace and stability in border areas. (ANI)
