14-member team to be picked for first two Tests on October 1

Mumbai, Sep 29 (ANI): The five-member national selection committee will pick the cricket team for the first two Tests against Australia on October 1.

 

There is also a possibility that the selection will be done through a tele-conference, as most of the players are taking part in a conditioning camp in Bangalore.

 

The first Test will commence in Bangalore from October 9 while the second is scheduled at Mohali from October 17.

 

The selection panel includes former India captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth as chairman (south) and Yashpal Sharma (north), Narendra Hirwani (center), Raja Venkat (eas) and Surendra Bhave (west). (ANI)
