Saudi Arabia looking for Bin Laden's son-in-law, 47 others

Riyadh, Fri, 14 Jan 2011 ANI

Riyadh, Jan 14 (ANI): Saudi Arabia is reportedly hunting for 47 al-Qaeda commanders, including Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law as it sees them as being a 'serious threat to the public'.

All the alleged terrorists are believed to be living outside Saudi Arabia.

Suspect Muhammad Salim Barikan, who was thought to have been killed in a drone attack by the U.S., married Bin Laden's daughter Fatima in 1996.

The Daily Mail quoted the Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry as saying that these men wanted to establish terrorist cells inside the kingdom and to recruit Saudis for training.

"We had to take this to Interpol to make sure that wherever they are, they can be captured," the ministry said.

This is reportedly the fifth in a series of lists of people with suspected al-Qaeda links to be released so far by the Saudi Interior Ministry.

According to the Saudi Justice Ministry, 765 suspects having links to al-Qaeda were tried and sentenced by the end of November last year without any mention of verdicts. (ANI)
