Gilani most corrupt person in Pakistan's history: Azam Khan Swati

Islamabad, Thu, 06 Jan 2011 ANI

Islamabad, Jan 6(ANI): Former Minister for Science and Technology Azam Khan Swati has called Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as the most corrupt person in the country's 63-year history.

Speaking to media representatives outside the Supreme Court on Thursday, Swati called both President Asif Ali Zardari and Gilani corrupt.

"Both Zardari and Gilani are corrupt and dishonest people; and the latter has brought bad name to his parents by doing corruption," Dunya News quoted him, as saying.

Responding to a question regarding the ongoing Federal Investigation Agency's probe into the Haj scam, Swati called the FIA report dissatisfactory and said: "The apex court is well aware that FIA will not unveil those involved in Hajj corruption scandal".

"Bring the accused to light; the nation should launch jihad against the prevailing corruption in the country", he added.

Swati, a former minister associated with the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F (JUI-F), had been sacked by Gilani for violating discipline. (ANI)
