Oz detectives join search for missing Yadav Munohur
Melbourne, Aug 11 (ANI): Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Unit have been called in to help search for missing nine-year-old boy Yadav Munohur, who has been missing for last four days.
The search for Yadav will continue today along the Yarra River at Hawthorn where he was last seen. Searchers have failed to find any signs of him.
"We're now into our fourth day and we're very concerned," a police spokeswoman said.
She said CIU detectives had joined other police to try to find Yadav. Police air wing, water crews and State Emergency Service volunteers have spent days combing Gardiner's Creek and the Yarra for signs of the missing boy using sonar equipment.
He was last seen leaving home and heading towards a park near the Kooyong tennis stadium about 5.30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Auburn South primary school student was wearing a dark blue jacket with green stripes, blue tracksuit pants, a blue and white chequered shirt and blue slippers at the time he disappeared.
The focus of the police investigation was initially near the park at Gardiner's Creek, which is known to flood rapidly after rain. (ANI)
