The event, which does not take place in 2010, we attain all of them in 2011 and we fulfill all those gaps in 2011, which were left in 2010. I wish all the people of the country a very Happy New Year."

STORY: Meira Kumar, Speaker of Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament on Saturday (January 01) wished the people of nation for successful completion of old year 2010 and beginning of New Year 2011.
"Very Happy New Year and all the years that come, many-many year your life should have. You should be healthy," said Kumar at the sideline of a cultural event of school children in national capital New Delhi.
Meanwhile, scores of people visited the office of India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Sushma Swaraj, in the national capital.
Swaraj also wished to complete all the unfold matters in the year ahead.
"2011 started from today, I wish this year brings peace prosperity and good fortune for our country, world and for all of us. The event, which does not take place in 2010, we attain all of them in 2011 and we fulfill all those gaps in 2011, which were left in 2010. I wish all the people of the country a very Happy New Year," said Swaraj.
People across India marked the beginning of the New Year 2011 with great enthusiasm at midnight of last day of old year.
