Joint operations launched to nab militants in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Dec.15 (ANI): The paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jharkhand Police conducted joint operations and raids to nab militants in different parts of the State on Wednesday.

 

The raids were conducted in the wake of the Union Home Ministry issuing directives to security agencies of different states to launch a manhunt for an updated dossier of 31 most wanted militants.

 

According to local media reports, Danish Manzar and Nizamuddin, the two hardcore militants belong to Ranchi.

 

R. K. Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Jagganathpur Police Station, said the search operations would continue till the two militants are nabbed as per the directives of the federal Home Ministry.

 

"We are going on with search operations but as of now nothing is clear, but we are keeping it in mind and then searching," said Singh.

 

The updated dossier includes militants from various terrorist outfits active in India like Indian Mujahideen (IM), Lashkar-SIMI front, Jama-i-tul Ansarul Muslimeen (JIAM).

 

According to media reports, security agencies believe that 10 terrorists are hiding somewhere in the country. (ANI)
