LeT commander killed in Handwara in J-K
Srinagar, Sept 27 (ANI): A Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander was killed in a joint operation by Handwara police and 9 Para in Hafrada forest in Jammu and Kashmir today.
Following specific information about the presence of the militants in the area, Handwara police and 9 para carried out a joint operation in Hafrada forest area today in which one militant of LeT namely Abu Khubaib, resident of Pakistan was killed.
Khubaib belonged to 'A' category militants and was functioning as a Launching Commander of LeT.
One AK-47 rifle, three magazines and 38 rounds besides one blanket and a diary were recovered from him.
He used to receive and launch militants who would cross through Hafrada-Palhmarg-Trehgam.
He was active in Ramhall and Rajwar forests areas of the State. (ANI)
