"Sadly no fish to be found but we had great fun trying. I love the warm fires and candle lights - so romantic! Hope to be back again soon," she wrote.

Kate - seen as a natural successor to "Queen of Hearts" Princess Diana - signed the note Catherine Middleton.

Wills, who has been to the remote Rutundu Log Cabins complex several times, also signed the visitors' book.

He joked about how cold it can get at the retreat, which lies 10,500ft up Africa's second highest peak.
