BCCI expects sledging free series between India and Australia

Tue, 01 Jan 2008 ANI

Jaipur, Sept 24 (ANI): Vice President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Lalit Modi expects the upcoming series between India and Australia to be free of sledging.

Talking to media in Jaipur today Modi said that the time spend together by the Indian and Australian players during the Indian Premiere League (IPL) matches will have a positive impact on the relations between the players of the two great cricketing nations.

"I don't expect such things will happen since Australian and Indian players have shared time together and have played matches as members of one team in the IPL. I think this will go a long way in building the relations between the players of Australia and players of India," said Modi.

The Australian team would reach Hyderabad for a four-day match against the BCCI president's XI from October 2.

The first test match would start in Bangalore on October 9, followed by matches in Mohali (October 17-21), Delhi (October 29-November 2) and Nagpur (November 5-9). (ANI)
