West Ham United player arrested for groping 'breast and bum' of clubber

London, Oct 21 (ANI): West Ham United player Manuel Da Costa has been arrested after he was accused of grabbing a young woman's breasts and bottom.

Portuguese Da Costa, 24, was at popular nightspot Faces in Ilford, East London, where he allegedly grabbed the woman and then assaulted her and two of her friends.

A witness said the footballer had gone up to the girl as she danced on a podium.

"He had been in the VIP area with other players and looked drunk," the Sun quoted the witness as saying.

"He is alleged to have grabbed her and when she tried to push him away he apparently hit her. Two of her friends came over and he is alleged to have gone for them as well," the witness added.

Da Costa later went to Ilford police station and was bailed on suspicion of sexual assault and common assault. (ANI)
