Delhi evacuates people living on the banks of Yamuna
New Delhi, Sept 22 (ANI): The Delhi government is evacuating people living on the banks of river Yamuna following the release of a record four lakhs cusecs of water by Haryana authorities.
The Yamuna crossed the danger mark and water level touched a high of 205.25 meters this afternoon.

C.T Parewa said that the level is likely to rise further this evening, following continuous release of water from Haryana.
A 24-hour control room has been activated to monitor the situation and boats have been pressed to evacuate affected people, who are sheltered in roadside temporary camps, Parewa added.
The Delhi Irrrigation and Flood Control Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan is visiting the flood-affected areas of Ushmanpur, Garhei Mandi and Yamuna Pusta.
Chauhan said that the administration is taking all steps to control the flood situation. (ANI)
