London, September 21 (ANI): A 90-year-old Brit has been the luckiest man living after cheating death - a startling 14 times.
Alec Adler, a pensioner now living in Gloucestershire, has lived to tell the tale of his string of misfortunes that include car crashes, war-time bombing and even almost getting smashed after a fighter jet crashed into the side of house as he slept.
His other miraculous escapes consist of a 15ft fall from a tree in 1926, whilst an almost death when he avoided being sent to Dunkirk in 1939 - where his entire team were killed.
"All my friends got killed at Dunkirk and I should have been with them," Telegraph quoted Adler as saying.
Towards the end of the war Alder was sent to Burma where he broke his leg playing football.
His life transformed while he was hospitalised in India, where a ward matron saved his life and converted him to Christianity.
Soon after returning from the war, Mr. Adler worked as a church minister in Stroud believing God spared him his many lives.
The stunned widower believes he must be the 'luckiest fella alive'. (ANI)
