Railways soon to enable use of laptops in trains
New Delhi, Sept 19 (ANI): Indian Railways is planning to provide satellite-based internet facility in premier trains to enable passengers to use laptops.
In Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express a trial run is already underway and our aim is to provide internet facility in certain premium trains including Rajdhani and Shatabdi, said a senior Railways ministry official.

Besides, there are plans to introduce onboard audio and video entertainment system for passengers during the train journey.
Also efforts are on to provide DTH services to onboard passengers and trials for this are under way, according to reports.
The railways is keen to establish High Speed Internet Corridor along all routes to provide internet, IPTV and other entertainment and utility services in trains, which provides for value addition to passenger amenities. (ANI)
