Hindus welcome Uzbekistan President's call for strengthening inter-religious accord
Nevada (US), Sep 6 (ANI): Hindus have welcomed Uzbekistan President's call for strengthening inter-religious accord.
In his address at the festive ceremony dedicated to the 19th anniversary of Uzbekistan independence, President Islam Karimov gave a call to "further strengthen the interethnic and inter-religious accord, tolerance in the society".
Noted Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, welcoming Karimov's gesture of strengthening inter-religious accord and tolerance, said that despite our seriously different beliefs, we should all learn to live together in peace, brotherhood and trust.
Dialogue would bring us mutual enrichment and help us overcome prejudices handed to us from previous generations, Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, added.
Uzbekistan is known for Samarkand, Bukahara, Kiva, ancient fortresses, stunning bazaars, plov, Timur (Tamerlane), cotton, pomegranates, architecture and artefacts, etc. (ANI)
