Metallica fan pledges not to shave till band's new album release
London, September 18 (ANI): A fan of heavy metal has grown a 12-inch beard after laying a bet with his wife - pledging not to shave until his favourite band, Metallica, released a new album.
Mick Cassidy, the 37-year-old animator has not shaved for two years following a drunken bet with his wife, Maendi, in 2006.

The Metallica devotee, during the meantime, had become popular on the Internet with 65, 000 viewers watching him live his bet.
The band's 12th album 'Death Magnetic' has finally been released and it's main songwriter and rhythm guitarist, James Hetfield, has agreed to shave Mick's beard at the album's launch party.
Meanwhile, the thrash metal fan has sighed with relief.
"It was a relief. The beard made me look like a tomato with hair," The Sun quoted Mick as saying. (ANI)
