Pak major opposition parties not to boycott election
Dec 10: Two major political parties Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), PML-N led by former Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party, PPP headed by another former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto have decided to participate the next election as Nawaz Sharif could not convince to his rival Benazir Bhutto to boycott the election jointly.

Nawaz Sharif has called all the 33 political parties of the nation on his house and tried to convince them to jointly shun the election as this election would not be fair until emergency continues but Benazir Bhutoo has rejected his argue of protesting forthcoming election by quoting, “if we wont fight the election, it will be a major victory of president Parvez Musharraf”. “Our supporters are contesting in election fray”, said Bhutto.
Some other political parties have also decided to participate in the election, while some to those are still in the favour of eschewing the election. If only PPP fight election alone in Pakistan as a major political party it would be directly beneficial for that party as per PML spokesperson said.
"Since we could not reach any agreement with the People's Party and they are contesting polls, we cannot leave the field open," said Ahsan Iqbal, spokesman for the PML-N.
Bhutto has announced to fight the election being under protest and also confirms to challenge the results of election in the court if she would find it unfair as per media reports form the meeting sight.
Yesterday Pakistan president Parvez Musharraf had announced to lift the emergency rule one day before on December 15 as per decided scheduled.
Both the contestants had filed their name for the forthcoming parliamentary election scheduled on January 08 next year.
Both the Prime Minister has returned home after long exile last month to force Musharraf to regulate the democracy, to restore the constitution in the country and to recall the judge of Supreme Court on its position.
