'Wedding Crasher' inspired gag gets NY woman probation!
London, September 17 (ANI): A New York woman, who tried to poison her housemate by putting eye drops in his iced tea - a prank from the movie 'Wedding Crashers' - was sentenced to three years of probation.
Kristine Anzalone, 25, pleaded guilty to misdemeanour assault and was also ordered to bear all her victim's medical expenses.
The assault was part of the 2005 comedy where a character played by Owen Wilson, squirts the solution into a love rival's drink - resulting in a deadly concoction leading to the constriction of blood vessels when ingested.
The victim, Joseph Gentissi, is not satisfied with the verdict.
"It's not fair", the Daily Star quoted the victim, as telling the New York post.
"This is a woman who tried to poison me. She should have been charged with attempted murder."
"We were hoping she was going to get a strong sentence. She took it as a big joke. She set out to hurt me and she sure did," he added. (ANI)
