Kathmandu, Sept 17(ANI): A meeting of the Rules and Regulation Drafting Committee (RRDC) under the Constituent Assembly (CA) of Nepal will take place here today.
The meeting will give final touches to the rules and regulation draft.
Earlier, the meeting ended without any conclusion after the parties failed to reach an agreement on the selection of the representatives for the formation of the committee under the Constituent Assembly.
There have been differences on the number of members in the constitution drafting committee for which the major parties including the Maoists, the Nepali Congress and the UML suggested a 15 member team while fringe parties demanded 25 members to ensure representation for all parties in the constituent assembly.
The Constituent Assembly regulations, prepared by a panel headed by chairman of the Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe, will set procedures for drafting a new constitution.
The constitution drafting process will begin only once the regulation is passed by the House unanimously.
The Regulation has proposed ten other committees to support the constitution drafting committee on specific subjects, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
