New Delhi, Sept 15 (ANI): A bench of the Supreme Court today ruled that seats remaining vacant after the implementation of the 27 per cent quota under a Parliament-enacted legislation would go to students of the General Category.
The Chief Justice and India, K G Balakrishnan, said, "There is no confusion about our judgement that seats which remain vacant after the implementation of the 27 per cent quota will go to the General Category."
On April 10 the bench had upheld the validity of the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admissions) Act. (ANI)
