Karachi, July 16 (ANI): Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif would soon be taking over charge as the new batting coach of the Afghanistan squad.

Latif said he has received an offer from the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), which he had accepted.

"Along with the Afghanistan side, I would be happy to work at the domestic and grass-root level too," The Daily Times quoted Latif, as saying.

Latif, who has played 37 Tests and 166 one-day internationals for Pakistan, has worked as a wicket-keeping coach with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for some time. (ANI)
