New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. M. S Gill has sanctioned pension to four meritorious sportspersons on Monday.
The sportsperson belonged to various sports disciplines such as Athletics, Hockey and Shooting.
Among the four players Ms. Saraswati Saha and Ms. Vandana Pandurang has achieved gold medal in athletics in Asian Games, while Pranab Kumar Roy and Allan Schofield has achieved silver medal in Asian Games.
The pension is decided at Rs.7000/- and Rs.6000/- per month for the players who achieved gold and silver medals respectively.
Pension sanctioned is for lifetime and will be disbursed to players through LIC. (ANI)
