Deepika Padukone launches a beauty contest in Mumbai

Mumbai, Sept 13 (ANI): Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone launched a beauty contest 'Fiama Di Wills Beautiful Face 2008 Hunt' in Mumbai on Friday.

Deepika also happens to be the brand ambassador of the popular beauty brand.

Model-turned-actress Deepika who became an overnight sensation after she made a successful Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' starring opposite Shahrukh Khan said her journey so far in Bollywood has been fabulous.

"I'm here to launch 'Fiama Di Wills Beautiful Face 2008 Hunt'. It is a wonderful experience for me. I am someone who came from Bangalore to Mumbai and the city of Mumbai gave me a wonderful opportunity to take my dreams forward and become an actor," said Deepika.

Beautiful unknown faces will be given a platform to showcase their talent, courtesy this contest.

From all the entries received only 15 girls will be short listed and taken for grooming to New Delhi.

The contestants will then go on to compete in the final round of the Elite Model Look India Hunt 2008 which will be held at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in New Delhi in October this year.

The winner of this beauty contest will get an opportunity to represent the country at the global Elite Model Look 2008 contest, which will be held in China in November this year.(ANI)
