London, September 11 (ANI): A lorry mistakenly delivered 12 barrels of beer to the Queen in place of a pub called the Windsor Castle recently.
Flunkies at the real Windsor Castle were baffled by the delivery of 2,000 pints of lager, as they found no record of the order.
It was only after a royal protection cop called the boozer five miles away in Maidenhead that the reality came to light.
Pub boss Misko Coric confirmed he was waiting for the beer before the England v. Croatia game, and that it was more than three hours late.
"We have taken delivery of Windsor Castle headed notepaper and letters for Prince Charles - but this is the first time they had anything destined for us," the Sun quoted Misko, 53, as saying.
A castle spokesman said: "It was very funny. But there's no way the Queen sits down in the evening with a pint." (ANI)
