London, June 11 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan's alcohol-monitoring bracelet was set off when a partygoer at the MTV Movie Awards spilled a drink on the Mean Girl star's leg, her mum has revealed.
Lindsay, 23, was ordered to wear the SCRAM device in May after missing probation hearings related to drug and drink-driving arrests.
The anklet reportedly began flashing during an afterparty following the awards show in LA last weekend and a judge issued a bench warrant for Lindsay's arrest.
The warrant was recalled after the actress posted extra bail money.
Even as the official report "indicated the presence of a small amount of alcohol", Lohan has vehemently denied taking alcohol.
And now mum Dina has stepped forward to defend her daughter.
"She was at the MTV Awards and somebody spilled a drink on her leg, which must have set off the SCRAM bracelet. She has done absolutely nothing wrong and shouldn't have to wear the bracelet in the first place. She is doing absolutely fine," The Daily Star quoted Dina, as telling The New York Post. (ANI)
