Washington, Sept 10 (ANI): The Pentagon is learnt to have notified to the US Congress of a possible sale to India of two dozen Harpoon air to ground anti-ship missiles.
The deal, in which Boeing would be the prime contractor, would be worth 170 million dollars, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said.
"India intends to use the Harpoon missiles to modernize its air force anti-surface warfare mission capabilities and improve its naval operational flexibility," The News quoted the agency as saying in a statement.
The "84L Harpoon Block II" missiles are designed primarily as satellite guided anti-ship missiles. (ANI)
