Haridwar, Apr 25 (ANI): Fire broke out near the Mansa Devi Temple situated on a hilltop in Haridwar.
The incident occurred on Saturday.
As per reports fast-blowing breeze aggravated the fire that soon spread to vast stretches.
Devotees, who walked to the temple, faced problems as the fire raged on the way.
The fire was brought under control after the fire tenders reached the spot.
"After our department got the information, we reached the spot and immediately brought the fire under control. There is nothing like that forest officials did not come, temple is also our responsibility," said Shakti Singh, Fire Station Officer, Haridwar.
Cause of the fire could not be ascertained. (ANI)
