New York, April 23 (ANI): It has still not been decided where Michael Douglas's son Cameron Douglas will serve a 60 month-sentence for distributing drugs.
Cameron's lawyers initially requested that he be made to serve his five-year sentence at a minimum-security satellite prison camp at Lewisburg, Pa.
Manhattan Federal Judge Richard Berman accepted the plea, which must be formally approved by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
However, the defence believes that Cameron might not "immediately qualify for designation at a minimum security facility," reports the New York Daily News.
So they requested that Cameron be transferred to the low-security facility at Fort Dix, N.J., until the matter is resolved. They said this would also enable him to continue receiving therapy.
However, Berman refused, saying the defence could have made the request at the sentencing.
It is still not clear where the drug-peddling deejay will finally go. (ANI)
