Washington, April 23 (ANI): U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has admitted that the constant travel and demands of her job as America's top diplomat are beginning to take a toll.
"It wears you out," the Politico quoted Clinton as telling Esquire in a story for the May issue of the magazine.
"The jet lag, the dry air on planes, the whole 'If it's Tuesday, I must be in...' kind of thing," she added.
Clinton told the magazine that she hopes she has enough gas in the tank to keep up the pace.
"Knock on wood. I do have good stamina and resilience. But you would think, in the world in which we live today, that with instantaneous communications, that you wouldn't need to travel as much," she said.
"But, in fact you almost have to travel more, both because everybody knows you can get on an airplane and get to where they're expecting you, but also because it's almost as if the virtual reality cries out for the real relationships need to be affirmed.
"It's ironic," she added. (ANI)
