Melbourne, April 9 (ANI): Brendan Fevola of the Australian Football League (AFL) has had his name cleared over the Lara Bingle nude photo scandal.
"Given the evidence currently available to us and the time elapsed since the alleged behaviour, the AFL has not established that a breach of our rules has occurred," the Herald Sun quoted AFL football operations general manager Adrian Anderson, as saying.
He added: "However, we will continue to monitor whether there are legal proceedings arising from this matter and the AFL remains willing to speak with Ms Bingle."
It was alleged that Fevola snapped Bingle nude during their brief relationship in 2006 and distributed the pic to other AFL players.
According to Anderson, Fevola admitted taking the picture but its distribution could not be proved.
Anderson said: "The AFL does not condone any behaviour which shows a lack of respect towards women.
"All AFL players and officials should be aware that taking and distributing private images without consent is unacceptable and can result in sanctions under the AFL player rules." (ANI)
