The Commission has ordered to submit the report before July 21.
Earlier on Dec 04, the final phase of the unfortunate Sabaramati train carnage and the following communal riots in Godhra in February 27, 2002, has started before G.T. Nanavati and K.G Shah on day to day basis. For a better investigation the two member committee has now asked the state government to analyse and submit the content of the CDs.
Five years back this unfortunate incident under the governance of BJP and his mascot Narendra Modi marked a black spot in the history of India. Fifty six people were killed in the S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express after a fire broke out inside the train.
The Justice Nanavati-Shah Commission has also informed the Jan Sangharsh Manch a NGO that represents some riot-victims to carry out their own analysis and submit their point of view in front of the panel on the same date.
The then SP Rahul Sharma has submitted the CDs to the commission. The CDs believed to be contained some valuable cell phone records between 26th February and March 1st, 2002.
The data may reveal some important information with call records of some top administrative officials and senior cops, political leaders and their conducts during Godhra riots. Earlier mobile phone numbers of 37 prominent persons including politicians and police officers have been submitted by the NGO. The commission has directed the state administration to submit the report before July 21.
