J-K Government suspends 10 officials for Aug.23 clash in Poonch

Srinagar, Sept.7 (ANI): The Deputy Commissioner of Poonch has on the instructions of the Jammu and Kashmir Government,suspended 10 more officials for inciting the public through their provocative statements last month.
A State Government release said that the statements had triggered off communal clashes on August 23.

Earlier, five government employees had been suspended in the district.
The action against the officials has been initiated on the basis of a report submitted by the Superintendent of Police, sources said.
Over 60 shops, residential property and a number of vehicles were burnt while over 34 people had sustained serious injuries in the clashes. (ANI)
