Paes eyes for double 'doubles title' in US Open
Nine years after his twin doubles crown at Wimbledon in 1999, Indian ace tennis player Leander Paes is looking forward to recreate history as he appears for his 9th career Grand Slam title at the US Open men’s doubles clash.
Earlier on Thursday night, he along with his mixed doubles partner Zimbabwean Carla Black defeated Liezel Huber of the US and Jamie Murray of Great Britain in straight sets 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

With this Leander Paes won his eighth Grand Slam doubles and his second US Open doubles titles of his career. This was his fourth mixed doubles titles, while the first US Open title for Black who is currently ranked No 1.
Cara Black has already three Wimbledon doubles titles and one Australian Open crown in her credit.
Paes is vying for his second US Open men’s doubles title as he has already won it in 2006 paring with Martin Damm. This time he will contest with Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy.
